What is Metrics?

Metrics is an "IPM" web traffic monitoring system. It allows you to not only keep track of how popular your site is, it can also tell you want people are "actually" looking for from you (providing new leads and ideas for product and business expansion and information you need to provide to meet their objections), what campaigns are converting the most efficiently and more.

Also metrics is one of the few REAL-TIME (unlike Google Analystics) monitoring systems, so if you are doign a real-time campaign or product launch, you can actually see what is happening, as it happens, so you can react and do something about it.

Why isn't Metrics Free?

Having just personally suffered from a FREE open source web metrics systems just deciding without notice to change the way they do things, leavng me with hundreds of sites without any monitoring, let me try to answer that question.

Nothing in life worth having, is free! Everything has a cost, of some sort. Be it reciprocation or cross promotion (free advertising) or a free "ploy" while they build up clients who are then tied in to them, and then they start charging.

I think it's more honest just to start as we mean to go on. Money!
For centuries we have stopped using the inconvenience of the "barter" system (I mena it gets tirign carrying asheep unde your arm for too long), iand replaced it with "tokens" or "vouchers" or "credit points" called money.

With money we all know where we are. Exactly what we are paying and what we are getting. And if it doesn't meet our expectatons, it's simple. You stop paying money and leave.

In order to offer a QUALITY system, with many unqiue and beneficial features I might add, then I have to charge money to create it, expand it, montor it and pay for its own infrastructure.

Despite what you may think, soemwhere down the line , telecoms companies charge hard cash for Internet Bandwidth. Adn we cna't provide IPM without using quite a lot of that.
